We arrived in Florence via Frankfurt airport twenty minutes before the U.S. V Germany World Cup game. Luckily, the Florence airport is only 5km away from the city center so after hopping in a cab, we were at our new Florence home in thirty minutes.
After a ten minute walk to get our bearings straight we ended up at Friends pub, the same place Tessa watched the World Cup four years ago, to see the second half of the match.
Our new Florence home is a 15th century apartment in the Santo Spirito neighborhood. We are on the second floor, luckily only 24 steps for Ofie. The kitchen and bathroom has been modernized, the master suite is 15th century all the way. This is a view out our garden window.
As some of you may already know, this trip also marks Ley and Ofelia's 45th wedding anniversary. Even after 24 hours of travel we were feeling pretty good :)
