Driving around Chianti

At this point in our trip we are taking every moment we can to appreciate where we are and try not to get on each other's nerves too much, so far so good.  We took our time getting ready Monday morning to prepare for driving around Chianti in search of panini for lunch and maybe some wine to taste.

We explored the small villages of Radda in Chianti, Casteliina in Chianti and Gaiole in Chianti.

Rainbow over radda's downtown square and the closest World Cup bar.

For dinner we returned to our village, Volpaia, and ate at one of the two restaurants run by the Barucci family, La Bottega.  The views from our meals continue to be amazing and we are going to miss eating outside.  Tessa's new favorite wine is the Castello Volpaia Chianti Classico Riserva which we sampled at dinner and will probably be ordering some to send home :)
